An Afternoon in the Trenches

Michele and Amber, I appreciate being able to spend quality time with you on the trip to and from Sarasota, yesterday. You are both an inspiration! Amber, thank you for a delicious dinner! Your children are wonderful! I’m praying that Richard will open his heart to the Gospel so eloquently shared by your son! Hearing that was worth the whole experience!

As I stood at my post, I heard a few comments like,”God doesn’t judge.” as I held the sign saying, “God Hates the Shedding of Innocent Blood”. (Proverbs 6:16-19) Someone entering the Planned Parenthood fundraiser brashly judged my motives as I quietly sang Psalms and prayed. They commented, “You don’t know God.”

Even more ironic than that was a man who probably earns $237,900 a year (abortionist average annual salary) who claims that he is like the Good Samaritan because he doesn’t concern himself with happens to him when he “helps” women. (Wow, Willie Parker, way to suffer for Jesus!) His speech encouraged Planned Parenthood to make lemonade with lemons they are now suffering with. Yep! (Ironically, if Margaret Sanger were to meet him, she may wish he were dead based on evidence of her probable intent for creating Planned Parenthood.)

I also met a man who was in the area for the reason we all wish we had been there based on his relaxed attire (the beach). He leaned over to comment, “By the way, I am an abortion survivor.” I assume that he meant that he had not survived a physical abortion, but like the women you minister to daily, his mom was planning to abort him and for some reason relented. I was too weak to catch up with him, unfortunately, but I wanted to share his brief testimony to encourage you.

Sadly, as we were outnumbered by the line of Planned Parenthood escorts, I had to ask myself, “Where is the church?” Clearly, these are battle lines in the Spirit. Truly, we don’t battle against flesh and blood (Eph. 6:12). Still, it would be nice if the numbers were matched since one local church could easily match the numbers that were lined up if they had shown up. Like I explained to Amber, I engaged when I realized that when I was praising God while ignoring abortion, I was like the German churches who sang more loudly as the Nazi trains full of screaming Jews passed by. (Sing a Little Louder, Penny Lea) In the spirit, their hands were dripping with innocent blood. I was compelled into service and began blogging for life.

Anyway, I’m happy to have God judge my motives and intents since I stand in the salvation and grace of my Savior, Jesus Christ. However, He didn’t die in vain, and those who refuse to confess their sins and repent as I have (and still do) will be called into account at the Great White Throne (Rev. 20:11).

I knew that as I positioned the two signs, one an educational poster of fetal development and the other, a horrific image of an aborted baby with the words “Planned Parenthood=Abortion” that all passing by and standing smiling sporting pink and holding signs saying “I stand with Planned Parenthood” who viewed them, would have no excuse. I pray for their repentance before we find out, personally, whether God judges. Lives and souls are at stake. Thankfully, there is hope through Jesus Christ.

Perhaps, I’ll meet you as I continue to participate in 40 Days for Life, friends. Please know that I am praying for your protection and continued success in your labor of love with Pro-Life Action Ministries. After hearing your stories, I want to invite you to share them with my readers, as well. You are both an inspiration and reminder of God’s great love for us! Blessings!

I’ll also be participating once more in the Walk for Life, as you know. I pray that my readers will join me in supporting Choices Women’s Clinic. It is an example of the help that women really need to choose life. Soon, despite their happy pink demure and positive attitudes, Planned Parenthood and all abortion clinics will close and America will return to science and sanity for God’s sake! Amen!

Life begins at conception. Abortion is legalized murder.
