Ask Me If I Care

I am the oldest of four sisters and the phrase, “Ask me if I care!” was tossed around daily in our home! Yes, you have the sarcastic tone just right!

Last night, I went to church and was thrilled to hear a message that actually acknowledged not only that there are absolutes, but that we are not supposed to stay teenagers forever: We’re expected to grow up and take responsibility for ourselves, our actions, and, if necessary, the natural consequences.

A call to raise a righteous standard. Praise the Lord for ministers who call us to live lives of influence and to be salt and light! “Correction will save lives!” Pastor Jeri Bankson

Abortion is one of the glaring examples that was mentioned as something that should never have been allowed and is clearly forbidden in scripture. (The Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion. However, there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly clear what God’s view of abortion is.) It’s the perfect example of hiding personal sin by erasing the consequences. However, that is an oxymoron. We can’t hide from God; just ask Adam and Eve. Their first action after their sin and realization was to rigorously attempt a cover up. Human nature has been marked by this instinct ever since. (In fact, in the painting noted, someone actually painted fig leaves on Adam and Eve altering the original.) Just like in the painting, we can’t hide our sin forever.

Under false pretense and in the face of overwhelming evidence that life begins at conception, Roe V. Wade allowed our greatest national “Watergate.” However, instead of admitting this crime against humanity, we have silently allowed it to be exercised over 60 million times. Don’t look now, but since you started reading this weak attempt to awaken an iota of outrage or remorse, the abortion clock has just turned over at least 25 to 50 times if you’re a fast reader. And this doesn’t even include chemical abortions or insane mothers who toss their newborns out the window and text their lover, “It was a girl, by the way.” (If only she had wrapped her child in a blanket and taken her to a fire station. Safe Haven Law guarantees that she could have just released her and walked away.)
Actually, I think that Antonia Lopez has a valid case. With Roe V. Wade, we ignored sanity and science verifying that a person is only real if they are wanted. Since her child wasn’t, tossing her out a window is perfectly logical! This insanity has opened the door for euthanasia, assisted suicide, DNR by doctors (without parental consent) if a baby born won’t be perfect. Honestly, I tried to go back to sleep, but I was afraid of seeing that broken, bleeding infant on the sidewalk in my dreams.

Yes, she is already in my waking dreams, and I pray that I never forget her. I don’t know her name, but she was a real human being whom God designed with purpose and knitted together with love. He already proved that fact by dying for her, just as Christ died for each one of us before we were even born. (How to Know God)

I’ve posted almost 5K times on this blog (EmpowerShop ProLife), mostly sharing news from LifeNewsLifeSite NewsOperation RescueLive Action News, etc. Maybe you’re also wondering why I’m echoing these blogs and websites, as I am this morning. It’s because we urgently need to respond, NOW! We actually have an opportunity with our newly elected government to repent and to return to the moral absolutes that our nation was originally founded upon. It’s up to us! The time for revival is now! This is the day of salvation!

On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, 40 Days for Life will begin, again. Please, join me on a sidewalk in your neighborhood. Physically, schedule an hour or more a week and be there. Join me in repenting for our national sin which we personally promoted by apathy heralded by silence. You don’t even have to say anything… just show up and pray. Light a candle for a baby that you may have personally aborted or that you know of; I’m not here to condemn you. If you need help, please attend a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat or seek counseling.

Grace covers a multitude of sins, including abortion. (I must warn that if you’re planning a future abortion and intend to inform the sidewalk counselor (pleading desperately for you to turn back, offering to help in every conceivable way including adoption) that you’re a Christian, and God will forgive you, that you are on very suspect grounds. First, your salvation needs to be examined because not only is your baby’s life being discounted; your eternal soul is at stake according to Matthew 7:15 – 23.)

So, chalk it up to sleepiness, or the desire to spread some guilt around, or just an honest curiosity: I’m not just asking if you care: I’m begging you to prove it by participating in 40 Days for Life beginning on March 1. I’ll be at All Women’s Health [abortion] Center in Altamonte Springs, FL. Click here to find your campaign.

Life begins at conception. Abortion is legalized murder.
