Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard introduces bill to protect abortion survivors

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) has introduced a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives aimed at protecting abortion survivors by ensuring they receive care after birth rather than being left to die. Gabbard, who was an early 2020 presidential candidate during the primaries, introduced H.R. 8923 on Wednesday.

Medical professionals recount stories of babies born alive during abortions

In the past, many late-term abortions were committed by injecting a caustic saline solution into a woman’s uterus. This solution burned the preborn baby’s skin and poisoned her. Then the woman would go through labor and “give birth” to a dead baby. Today, most late-term abortions are committed by D&E.
