No Vote About Us Without Us

SIGN THE DEMAND – AbolishAbortionFlorida

Please sign the “Florida Demand to Abolish Abortion” below to demand that our Legislators pass bills of complete and total abolition of abortion — without exception — from the moment of conception. Abortion is the murder of an innocent human being, and it is time that the State of Florida treat it as murder.

This week, I participated in the Defenders of Life – Florida Freedom Rally in Tallahassee. One of our assignments as we sought to influence legislators and the public that abortion must be abolished in Florida, was to prepare a speech. Following is the video version of my speech as well as a longer written version. Please listen and pray with us. Vote accordingly. Please visit Abolish Abortion to learn more and to join our cause for the sake of the unborn and for America.

My name is Christine Hammett and I live in Apopka, FL.

The representatives are:

  • Representative Kamia L. Brown
  • Senator Randolph Bracy

In an article I wrote last year on Lanterns.buzz, I shared the late Jeremiah Thomas’s call to his generation:

“Leave it all behind and come back home!”

Jeremiah Thomas

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

We have grown up in a culture of death, sexual confusion, immorality and fatherlessness. This culture of death I speak of consists of abortion, homosexuality and suicide. One third of our generation has been wiped out due to abortion. Over 25 million people have died as a result of AIDS. Even without AIDS, the life expectancy of a homosexual man or woman is about 33 years shorter than that of a heterosexual. More young people die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, combined.

We have been handed a bill of goods that has completely destroyed us. In our nation, we have chosen death and received the curse.

He continued:

Abortion is more than wrong. It’s an abomination. It’s the murder of an innocent baby. It turns mothers into murderers and men into cowards. Abortion goes against everything God intended. He made men to protect women and children. He made women to love and nurture. So, in conclusion, abortion is more than just a “woman’s issue.” It’s an act of murder that should be penalized by law. It is our generation’s duty to rise up and abolish abortion.

I wanted to learn more about pending legislation here in Florida. I learned about a bill with the catchphrase “No vote about us without us.” According to Upworthy, Florida Sen. Lauren Book wants to block voting on abortion bans unless half the legislature is women.

This is ludicrous for several reasons because it erroneously assumes that women want to end unplanned pregnancies in abortion and that men are the ones who are stopping them. Sadly, it completely ignores the fact that there are human lives in jeopardy, the regret that often follows the act of the emotional decision to abort a child, the relief that women feel when she actually changes her mind and leaves an abortion clinic deciding to acknowledge her God-given role: the privilege of motherhood, and the blessing that a child is to his or her family.

Secondly, this bill ignores that our nation is represented via elections and we vote for the candidates that closely align with our personal conscience and desires for our nation; their sex is completely beside the point.

I would ask that we apply the same motto at least in principle to children from conception to legal voting age: “No vote about us without us” at least until it demonstrates our best interest and a future guaranteed by our Constitution for “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”.

The Democratic party’s obsession with abortion through birth and infanticide is barbaric and in no way represents American heritage as a Christian civilized nation and bills like S.B. 60 are proof that America must apologize to Jeremiah’s Generation and repent of murdering our children in the name of convenience.

I apply the same condemnation for abortion that experts have made regarding the recent James Younger gender transition case because the unborn are innocent human beings, and future citizens deserving of loving protection from their family and our government representatives.

‘Cold, calculated, institutionalized child abuse’: Experts comment on gender ‘transitions’ for kids

“Many of us hope that this case will usher in a return to sanity, science, and medical ethics rooted in ‘first, do no harm,’” stated Dr. Michelle Cretella, Executive Director for the American College of Pediatricians (not to be confused with the left-wing American Academy of Pediatrics).

I demand that my representatives/lawmakers stop filing useless laws of discrimination. I join my voice with those who are also speaking out for those yet voiceless humans beings in the womb to pass a law that will protect every baby in the womb from conception, without exception and without delay for they represent the future citizens of our nation.

Again, quoting the late Jeremiah Thomas:

Look at history. Over one hundred million people have been murdered under the ideologies of Democratic Socialism and Communism. When we forget our history, history will always repeat itself. That’s why one third of our generation has been wiped out by abortion. That’s why our rights our slowly being ripped out of our Constitution. That’s why the establishment is evil.

I conclude: “That’s why all abortion must be criminalized.”

Life begins at conception. Abortion is legalized murder.
