Twins Joe and Ashley Keates entered the world on April 16 weighing less than 1 pound each and fitting in their mother’s hand. Doctors gave them just a 1 percent chance of survival, but today they are thriving at home with their family, the Daily Mail reports.

Baby Saybie’s life is a testament to the amazing advances in modern medical technology. Born weighing less than 9 ounces, she is believed to be the smallest premature baby ever to survive, Fox News reports. A San Diego hospital deemed her well enough to go home this May, approximately five months after her birth.
