On Tuesday, the Department of Health and Human Services rescinded, in part, a 2019 Trump-era rule that protected the conscience rights of healthcare workers. The Trump-era rule, if implemented, would have given healthcare workers the ability to seek meaningful recourse if they were forced to violate their ethical and religious beliefs.
