New Safe Haven Baby Box in Indiana marks 50th in the state, ready to save more lives

The 55th Safe Haven Baby Box in Indiana (the 63rd in the United States) opened on April 30th, giving local infants and their desperate parents a chance at a safe surrender. According to WTHR, the baby box is located at a fire station.

A video showing how Safe Haven Baby Boxes work posted on TikTok has racked up nearly 20 million views. Monica Kelsey, who founded the non-profit, is a firefighter and paramedic who was abandoned as an infant.
