An Exceptional Human Being: Not an Exception

Last night, I attended the banquet for Pro-Life Action Ministry in Orlando. It was a wonderful evening! It meant a lot to me, personally, because being an abolitionist (pro-life minister) is a lonely calling at times. People sometimes give kudos for my ministry, but I’ve yet to have anyone offer to get involved by standing with me outside an abortion clinic and praying or asking how they can become a sidewalk counselor. At this event, I was surrounded by people who are not only fellow teammates from Central Florida but those who support the ministry by putting their money where their mouth is! (Actually, the delicious meal was catered by Cracker Barrel.) You know what I mean… Our keynote speaker was Rebecca Kiessling.

My phone died early on, so I don’t have an personal videos of her passionate appeal based on her personal experiences of rejection and persecution that led this beautiful and articulate woman to suffer such low self-esteem that she eventually became entrenched with an abusive boyfriend who broke her jaw. Eventually, Jesus delivered her from that relationship and provided the necessary reconstructive surgery to repair the physical and emotional damage.

As painful and long as it took to recover from the physical abuse, it took years longer to recover from the accusations and condemnation that she received from people who should honestly know better: Christians who call themselves “pro-life”!

The conversations with her birth mother, including the realization that she would have aborted her had it been legal at the time, were heart-rending! Eventually, her mother acknowledged that she was so happy that she was not aborted!

Here is a video that shares her story. Please watch prayerfully… I’m sure that you’ll agree that she is an exceptional person and should not be considered an exception.

Save the 1 is Rebecca’s organization. Here is the description from the YouTube description:

Save The 1 is an organization of persons who were conceived in rape, mothers who became pregnant by rape, and those with a poor in utero diagnosis — all of the so-called “hard cases” in the abortion debate. We are pro-life speakers, writers, authors, and activists who put faces, voices and stories to this issue. We seek to ensure that all are protected by law and that none are stigmatized, demonized, marginalized, and discriminated.

Save the One Video

I share this because we must do away with the term “except in the cases of rape”. We must adopt laws that are based on Personhood from conception.

As Rebecca shared with us, I felt the pain that she suffered from Christians who dared her to explain the purpose of her life and what she has accomplished; to prove her “right to life”. Someone even accused her of doing more damage to her mother than her father, a violent rapist, had done! Someone, stop the insanity!

What can you do? First, stop giving lip service to being pro-life and be sure that you speak out and vote for candidates who stand for life without exception. Second, financially support organizations who are speaking out for people (just like you and me) who haven’t been born, yet. They are not property; murder should NEVER be a choice! Thirdly, get involved. Feel free to contact me or to use the links provided to learn more about how sidewalk counseling is saving lives until America comes to her senses and repents of the sin of abortion: Pray!

Stand with Rebecca, Michele, Shawn, and so many others. In fact, I will proclaim with Elisha:

15 The servant of the man of God got up early and went out, and behold, there was an army with horses and chariots encircling the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, “Oh no, my master! What are we to do?” 16 Elisha answered, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “Lord, please, open his eyes that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servants eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha. – 2 Kings 6:15-17 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Truly, the battle for America’s soul belongs to the Lord!

Life begins at conception. Abortion is legalized murder.
