California Gov. Gavin Newsom urged voters to pass a radical state constitutional amendment to expand late-term abortions during a pro-abortion rally Sunday in Long Beach. CBS News Los Angeles reports Newsom joined other abortion activists at an election event supporting Proposition 1 on the ballot this week.

A California OB-GYN who used to abort unborn babies said the claim that late-term abortions are sometimes necessary to save a mother’s life is “categorically untrue.” Speaking with Faithwire this week, Dr. Vansen Wong explained that killing a viable, late-term unborn baby is never necessary.

California Amendment Would Legalize Killing Babies in Abortions Up to Birth –

California Democrats are ignoring questions about a state ballot measure that pro-life leaders say will legalize aborting unborn babies for any reason up to birth. The state constitutional amendment, or Proposition 1, will be on the November ballot. Democrat lawmakers argued California needs to establish a “right” to abortion in response to the U.S.
