A Missouri lawmaker hopes to replicate the life-saving success of the Texas heartbeat law with similar legislation in her state. The AP reports state Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman, R-Arnold, introduced a bill Thursday that would prohibit abortions in Missouri once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy.
