Enemy of the State

No Title

No Description

In my last post on Lanterns.buzz, Public Enemy Number One, I identified a wicked threat to society as a baby who has had the gall to survive an abortion. I cited the 50th blockage of the The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act by Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic party. Today, nearly two months later, we are at #74 and counting!

Here is our democratic government in practice:

After hearing the chorus of rhetoric, I must sadly consider whether the Democratic presidential candidates may be enemies of the state based on the following explanation provided in Wikipedia:

An enemy of the  state is a person accused of certain crimes against the state, such as treason. Describing individuals in this way is sometimes a manifestation of political repression. For example, an authoritarian regime may purport to maintain national security by describing social or political dissidents as “enemies of the state.” In other cases, the individual in question may have in fact endangered the country and its population.[citation needed]

I would say that blocking a vote by turning off a microphone 74 times is the action of an authoritarian regime who is silencing individuals and, in this situation, endangering our country by demanding the death of any child, unborn or born-alive who is not wanted by his mother. According to the LifeNews article, the Democratic representatives minus one have already legalized infanticide:

Earlier this year, Democrats voted to fund infanticide. LHHS Ranking Member Tom Cole (R-OK) offered an amendment to withhold funds to any medical entity that does not ensure that any infant born alive following an abortion receives the same medical care as any other infant born at the same gestational age. Every Republican voted for the pro-life amendment to stop infanticide while every Democrat on the committee, except Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar, voted for infanticide.

Because of legalized infanticide, the #BornAliveAct can be defended per Melanie Israel, Research Associate in the DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society at The Heritage Foundation:

Current federal policy insufficiently protects babies who are born alive following an attempted abortion. While current law recognizes that all infants born alive are “persons,” babies who survive an abortion attempt are left vulnerable because the law provides for no requirements that health care practitioners treat the infant with the same degree of care afforded to any other newborn. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would remedy this problem by requiring that proper medical care be given to infants who survive an abortion and establishing criminal consequences for practitioners who fail to do so.

Israel provides detailed evidence in the article  regarding data from states that protect infants born alive (Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma & Minnesota) that in 2017 and 2018, over 30 infants were born alive following abortions. Prior to that data, she shares:

In an analysis of infant deaths coded “Termination of pregnancy, affecting fetus and newborn” between 2003 and 2014, the CDC recorded 588 such cases. Of those cases, at least 143 could “definitively be classified as involving an induced termination.” The CDC acknowledges that the number is likely underestimated due to vagueness of terminology and a lack of clarity about the spontaneity of some abortions. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Mortality Records with Mention of International Classification of Diseases: 10 Code P96.4 (Termination of Pregnancy); United States, 2003–2014,” April 11, 2016, https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/health_policy/mortality-records-mentioning-termination-of-pregnancy.htm (accessed February 20, 2019).

In her conclusion, Israel, summarizes:

Federal policymakers should recognize the urgent need to enact the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and ensure that all living persons under federal law are treated equally for purposes of the provision of medical care. Failing to do so is not only a rejection of good policy: It is a rejection of human decency.

Whatever happened to human decency? Shouldn’t that be a minimal requirement of anyone who wishes to lead in a civilized government?

Instead, we have “Proof: Democratic Party Leaders Support Infanticide” compiled by Students for Life:

  • Beto O’Rourke, a former Congressman from Texas who is most famous for losing a Senate race to Ted Cruz in 2018, has repeatedly said that he opposes legislation such as the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, calling third-trimester abortions a women’s right.
  • All Democratic Senators, including independent Bernie Sanders, voted against Ben Sasse’s Born-Alive legislation. As Ben Sasse pointed out in an op-ed, “That’s simply the bare minimum in humane treatment, and every Republican and Democrat should be able to affirm it. It’s not complicated: You’re either with babies, or you’re for infanticide. But some Senate Democrats blocked this anti-infanticide legislation — some of the same politicians who consistently promise to fight for the weak, the vulnerable and the voiceless. We weren’t talking about abortion, “special circumstances,” “clumps of cells.” We were talking about infanticide, about a newborn baby boy or baby girl, alone and cold on an abortion-clinic table.”
  • Previously, 44 U.S. Senators, including leading Democratic Presidential contenders, actually voted to allow an infant, born and struggling for life, to be thrown out like garbage.

From the candidates, On the Issues summarizes and offers detailed voting information regarding abortion and many other issues. I hope that you will do your homework before election day 2020. I for one believe that the Democratic party is behaving like any enemy of the United States of America would if there were no fear of repercussion or reprisal: Killing Americans before they are even born or a.s.a.p. is the best way to terminate America. According to LifeNews:

Every single Democrat in the Senate who is running for president voted against a bill that would stop infanticide and provide medical care and treatment for babies who are born alive after botched abortions. That includes Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Amy Klobuchar.”

ACTIONContact members of Congress and urge them to sign the Discharge Petition to bring the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to the House floor for a vote.

Life begins at conception. Abortion is legalized murder.
